We are a Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department serving citizens of Ashe county, North Carolina in the Fleetwood fire district.
Fleetwood Volunteer Fire and Rescue is proud to celebrate 50 years of dedicated service to the community. We want to thank everyone who came out to join us in celebrating 50 years of service.
Since 1976, the department has faithfully served the community through emergency response, fire protection, rescue services, and community support. Over the past five decades, the department has remained committed to protecting lives and serving neighbors with professionalism, compassion, and dedication.
We thank the community for its continued support throughout the years and look forward to continuing its mission of service for generations to come.

The Fleetwood Fire Department is proud to share our updated fire insurance rating of 5/9E! This rating reflects the strength of our department's response, training, and equipment. Under North Carolina guidelines, the Class 5 rating applies within a five-mile radius of the fire station as a set rate, with an additional levels of rating (9E) applied to properties in the extended radius beyond that distance. If you have questions about how this may impact your individual rate, please contact your insurance provider.
